ONE TEA SET LEADS TO ANOTHER

When I was a pre schooler, Mamma taught in a one room schoolhouse at Holder. You might call Holder a "suburb" of Lecanto. That is, you might and you might not. A lady that everybody referred to as Aunt Hattie was my baby sitter.
She lived in a big two story house next to Cousin Dacie in Lecanto. Every day at lunch time, she went upstairs and brought down a small table and two chairs. She placed a miniature tea set on the table and then cut up my sandwich so that it fit on that tea set. We sat at that table and had our noon meal.
When I grew up, I started collecting tea sets- some whimsical, some ornate. I even have an antique Raggedy Ann tea set that my sister Ruth gave me. When I look back at my tea parties with Aunt Hattie, I realize why I fell in love with tea sets.
I now have four of those tea sets set aside for my granddaughter, Reilly. She will probably inherit the rest of them someday.
Aunt Hattie's house has since burned down to the ground but my memories of Aunt Hattie and the tea set luncheons will never be forgotten.
